Originally conceived to simulate the effect of a warped vinyl record, this only scratches the surface of what Warped Vinyl HiFi can do. This “true pitch” modulation features an all-analog signal path that can be dialed-in to create a limitless palette of timeless movement.
HiFi has several improvements over previous versions of Warped Vinyl, including a lag knob for lush chorus tones, reduced noise, and opportunities for more transparent and brighter sounds.
At the root of any modulation pedal is the waveform, the feeling and flow of the movement. Warped Vinyl splits apart that waveform, letting you mix, match, and bend your way to motion that’s all yours. Asymmetrical pulsing, sloping ripples and more, at your fingertips.
Push apart the wet and dry signals manually with the Lag knob. Increasing the delay between the signals will create more interference across the frequency spectrum, exaggerating the chorus effect.
Give your performances a lift with Warped Vinyl’s flexible Hold mode. Interrupt the motion for pauses or flurries of warping, or engage a spell of Chase Bliss’ signature Ramping effect to momentarily modulate any or all of Warped Vinyl’s knobs at once.
Warped Vinyl creates its hypnotic vibrato by replicating your dry signal on a 1024 stage bucket-brigade chip and modulating its delay time. This analog “true pitch” modulation means your wet signal takes on all that BBD warmth and grit along the way, as well as a slice of touch-responsive noise to complete the vinyl effect.
