Description

Brand new pedal from JTH Electronics, made locally in NY and available only at Collar City Guitars.

This is a combination of the JTHE Typhon Fuzz (FuzzFace) and Chili Dog Boost (LPB-1) in a hand-wired format! Switchable order so you can run the fuzz into the boost or the boost into the fuzz.

Vintage Soviet MP37 (Ge) & Modern 2N3904 - Fuzz and 2N5088 - Boost (SI) transistors in this build.

Each pedal is made by hand one-at-a-time by John in his secret lair in the Hudson Valley, NY.
---------------------------------------
The Typhon was created to combat the Olympians and ended up fathering many Greek mythological monsters. The JTH Electronics Typhon Fuzz was created to combat your sensibilities about fuzz faces and may birth you some sonic monsters of your own.

The Typhon Fuzz is based off of the Modkits Rattler, which itself is based off of the Fuzz Face circuit. The Typhon improves on the original circuit with less noise, a tone control for taming harsh high frequencies, and a bias control for dialing in the fuzzy sweet spot you're looking for.
-------------------------------------------
Volume - More or less, useful in taming output
Fuzz - Control the amount of fuzz gain, dial back for softer vintage-style fuzz sounds or crank it for extra sustain and compression
Punch - Up for more bass, down for less
------------------------------------------
The Chili Dog Boost is a hand-wired dirty boost pedal for giving your limp tone a little strength and confidence. Boost with character, and lots of it. This circuit is based off of the famous EHX LPB-1 Linear Power Booster.
-------------------------------------------
Boost - More or less
------------------------------------------

JTHE pedals require 9VDC center negative power supplies (not included) only. These have been successfully tested with the appropriate One Spot, TREX, and SKB power supplies.

JTHE recommends using isolated power supplies for optimal sound quality and minimal signal interference. JTHE pedals have no internal 9V battery access and run only on power supplies.
