This pedal is something most would consider saturated. The tonal shaping and added harmonics are what give it the signiture flavor. The topology of this pedal reflects that of an old Echoplex preamp. By use of internal charge pumps we are able to increase the voltage within the circuit, and allow more headroom. While still considered a clean boost, one will notice a tasteful boost in brightness and clarity when engaged. Making leads and solos soar above the mix when needed.
